Governor Brewer Names Kurt Davis to Fill Game and Fish Commission Seat Being Vacated by Robbie Woodhouse

AZSFWC learned yesterday that Governor Brewer named Kurt Davis, founding partner of First Strategic Communications, to fill the Game & Fish Commission seat being vacated by Robbie Woodhouse in January.  Kurt is an avid hunter and has served on various other state boards and commissions including the Board of Reagents.  Mr. Davis was one of two Commission applicants referred to the Governor by the Game and Fish Commission Appointment Recommendation Board last month.  We believe Mr. Davis possesses all of the credentials and qualifications necessary to do an excellent job on the Commission.

Southern Rockies Wolf Plans

We hope to provide you with a more comprehensive summary of the latest in the wolf world soon.  In the meantime, our AZSFWC Board has formed a Wolf Working Group to sort through the information. The AZ Game & Fish Commission further clarified their position at their December 2nd meeting and more information continues to trickle out about where the wolf proponents want to go with the recovery.

It's important for you to stay informed with what's happening on all fronts. We've provided some links below so you can read for yourself.

Merry Christmas.
